The 1.4 litre VTVT petrol engine and the 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine that are used in the Verna are light weight. There is also a rear proximity warning system in place which warns the driver if any object comes too close to the rear of the car. The seat belt pre tensioners automatically tension the seat belts around the pelvis region of the occupant in the event of a collision, thereby, significantly reducing the chances of a serious injury. With a price tag of Rs. 8.6 lakhs for the 1.4 CRDi, the Verna is a little costlier than its nearest competitors. However, it has to be kept in mind that the car packs in as many features as it could. Buyers should not mind paying that extra bit to enjoy unmatched luxury and comfort.
