Most of the tech world’s attention has been focused on the recent release of the iPhone 4S, but the unveiling of the new Motorola RAZR will definitely have a few heads turning. The new RAZR, a phone line that has had a long reputation for its thinness, comes in at a shocking 7.1 millimeters – a size that is pretty stunning considering that the exterior is made from KEVLAR fibers and Corning Gorilla Glass.
So what all comes in this super thin packaging? Way more than what you would find with typical smart or prepaid phones.
For one, Motorola spared no expense to make sure the new RAZR could pack a punch. In addition to using KEVLAR and Corning Gorilla Glass to ensure the phone’s durability, the entire RZAR is covered with a splash-guard coating – even the insides. So not only is the phone scratch and scrape resistant, it’s also water resistant.
As far as looks go, the phone’s sleek design is complemented by the 4.3 inch screen. While Apple chose to stick with a smaller screen, most Android operated phones have chosen to integrate larger screens which is becoming the industry standard – and Motorola’s choice to go bigger was definitely for the best. The Super AMOLED Advanced Display allows for great live streaming of video, and allows media lovers to watch their favorites shows and movies with pristine clarity.
The RAZR is powered by Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread), and includes 1 GB of RAM and a dual core 1.2 GHz Processor. The high end internal hardware makes this phone a breeze to operate and super fast – making it even better smartphone option for media lovers or just those who want a high-end work horse of their own.
The phone also includes an 8 MP rear-facing camera; nothing too exciting as it has become an industry standard, however, it is an upgrade RAZR enthusiasts will be sure to appreciate. The RAZR is also capable of shooting 1080p HD video.
Those who were long loyal to the RAZR, the year of waiting is finally over. While iPhone enthusiasts had to wait over a year to receive a phone that they weren’t expecting, Motorola fans definitely got the phone they wanted and it will definitely not disappointment when it finally hits stores in November.
