There are some unforgettable memories in all of our lives, rather priceless memories, which we all want to preserve forever. We either try to preserve them through our camera lenses, by making videos or by simply keeping them in our minds and hearts. Sometimes we even put those memories into words. But what if we can preserve those memories more creatively and more beautifully by scrapbooking?
Scrapbooking is all about creatively conserving the most priced memories in the years to come and cherishing them. Creating a family tree will actually be a great way to pass on the information of your family from one generation to the other, that too in a creative way, which, even a six year old as well as an 80 year old can appreciate and enjoy equally.

How Many Generations do you Want to Include?
You need to be clear of how many generations you want to include. To be honest, it can be quite exhilarating and overwhelming as well if you are able to include one or two generations before yours.
Sorting Photos
Yes, chances are that you will come up getting old and faded black and white photographs, with or without any dates or names mentioned on it. You may not even have ample information on some of them. But it’s absolutely okay. Just include in your scrapbook whatever you have come up with.
Make two piles of photos, one of maternal side and the other of paternal side. While sorting the photos, do not forget to write down information of each one of them at the bottom of the photos, such as, name, age, his/her relation to you, etc. You may even need to contact some of your relatives to extract some more information.
It’s Time to Start Making the Scrapbook
Once you have gathered all necessary things for your scrapbook, like photos and information related to them, think a suitable title for your album. For giving initial information on your family, design a family tree by placing photos of every family member, relation-wise, and place their information using beautiful fonts.
Decorating the Pages
You can decorate the pages with coloured buttons or ribbons or stickers, cut outs of old letters, etc., which are related to the contents of the particular page, use technology.
