William Lauder Estee Lauder is not one name. They are two names combined into one when it comes to recognizing the outstanding success of The Estee Lauder Company and its brands. Way back in 1946, Estee Lauder established the Company along with her husband Joseph. The Company began with only four products. They gradually became very popular and went on to become best sellers in the market.
In two years, Estee had her own departmental store in New York at Fifth Saks Avenue. She also expanded her range of products in the market. The Company also saw outstanding progress in the next 15 years and her products started being sold by Harrods, London. She managed to open another office of the Company in Hong Kong. In 1946, both Estee and Joseph started Aramis Inc. This brand was designed by Arame Yeranyan. There was a fragrance named after a city in Armenia. It was called Yeremes. This Company focused on men and produced grooming products and fragrances for them.
Estee Lauder in 1967 gained the reputation of being listed in the ten Outstanding Women in Business in the USA by business and financial editors. This was not the end of her success story. She went on to win the Spirit of Achievement Award from Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in 1968. In the same year, the Company saw further expansion and this came in the form of the opening of Clinique Laboratories Inc. This brand produced allergy tested and fragrance free cosmetics. This was another milestone in the history of the Company.
